The list, as stated in the book, is more a list of Norwegian films worth seeing, rather than an attempt to create a definitive list of "the best Norwegian films of all time". Something that's made pretty clear by the inclusion of for instance Aune Sands 1995 film Dis - en historie om kjrlighet. A film that is in fact commonly known as the "the worst Norwegian film of all time", but is also known as a film that i so bad it's hilarious. But the list is first and foremost a presentation of lots of evidence that Norwegian film is better than it's reputation.
