    SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21
    Early morning:
MOMAX: Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life, 5

ABC Family: The Lizzie McGuire Movie, 7
    SHO2e: Son-in-Law, 7
    Starz: Annie, 7:15
What to Watch: What’s a movie marathon without a nostalgic trip to Rome alongside Lizzie McGuire? Whether you’re with the fam or kicking it solo, it’s never a bad time to reminisce withThe Lizzie McGuire Movie, including Italian heartthrob Paulo and what was arguably the best soundtrack of 2003. If you’d rather put yourself in the mood for turkey than pasta, check out Son-in-Law at 7 instead. When a farmer’s daughter comes home from her first semester of college for Thanksgiving break, she brings her fiance named Crawl(Pauly Shore) who doesn’t quite fit in on the farm.
    Morning:
ABC Family: Herbie: Fully Loaded, 9
Comedy Central: My Best Friend’s Girl, 8:58

    MAXe: Saving Silverman, 11:10
    SHO: Bernie, 11:15
    TBS: Happy Gilmore, 11:30
What to Watch: What better way to start off a lazy Saturday morning with a Kate Hudson rom-com? My Best Friend’s Girlalso features Alec Baldwin, Dane Cook and Jason Biggs — and yes, Biggs does have an unlikely hair malfunction throughout the course of the movie. If you’re looking for something that appeals more to the little ones, switch to Mr. Popper’s Penguins at 10 You’ll be just as entertained as they will, because face it — watching Jim Carrey try to herd a gang of six penguins is just amusing.
    Afternoon:
TNT: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, 12
Starz: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, 12:35
    ABC Family: Sleep Hollow, 1

    FXX: The Lorax, 4
    VH1: When in Rome, 4:20
    Esquire TV: Wall Street, 4:30
What to Watch: With the lineup we’re working with duringthis timeslot, you really can’t go wrong. You have the option for more recent comedies, like Identify Thief, We’re the Millers, and Dinner for Schmucks, that showcase some of the funniest actors around. And honestly, if you can’t find something to watch when Melissa McCarthy, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis are all on TV, we may not be able to help you. If you’re in a more sinister mood, however, catch Tom Hanks as a prison guard and Michael Clarke Duncan as a death row inmate on The Green Mile at 3

ABC Family: The Hunger Games, 5:30
FXM: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, 5:30

Lifetime: Jim Henson’s Turkey Hollow, 8
    ABC Family: Twilight, 8:30
    Syfy: Zombieland, 9
What to Watch: We’d be remiss if our first recommendation for your Saturday evening wasn’t Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Sean Penn as Jeff Spicoli remains one of the most iconic roles of the ‘80s. To prep for your week of turkey dinners, catch the new Jim Henson’s Turkey Hollow at 8 It’s sure to have some creative costume designs, and if nothing else, it’s worth watching just to see Ludacris as the on-screen narrator. Before the kids go to bed, catch Twilight at 8:30 It’s the only time the first movie in the series is playing this week.
    Late Night:
Lifetime: The Muppet Christmas Carol, 10:03

MOMAXe: The Grand Budapest Hotel, 1:05
AMC: A Few Good Men, 1:30
    HBOSGe: Thelma & Louise, 2:20
What to Watch: Chances are pretty high that you’re going to get a large amount of family time this week, so prep for that in advance with pop culture’s most blundering dad, Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase), in National Lampoon’s Vacation. Catch The Grand Budapest Hotel at 1:05 for a prime display of director Wes Anderson’s sense of humor. And if you’re still awake at 2:20 watch Thelma & Louise, because when is it not a great time to watch Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis (SPOILER ALERT!) drive straight off a cliff in an epic display of sisterhood?
    Next: Sunday, November 22 [pagebreak]
    SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22:

    AMC: Erin Brokovich, 6:30
    Starz: Die Hard, 6:40
ABC Family: Herbie: Fully Loaded, 7
HBO: The Book of Life, 7
What to Watch: If for whatever reason you are voluntarily awake at 6:30 on Sunday, watch Julia Roberts portray a lawoffice worker on the case of a utility company polluting a town’s water in Erin Brokovich. The real Brokovich makes a brief appearance in the movie as a waitress named Julia. If that’s too much for you at such an early hour, try The Book of Life instead. It’s an animated comedy that follows a young man named Manolo through three fantastical worlds. Nothing like a good quest to get the day going.
    Morning:
    IFC: Lethal Weapon, 8:30
    ABC Family: Pocahontas, 9
    AMC: The Green Mile, 9:30
    HBO2: The Lego Movie, 9:45

If you’d like something that’s intended for a moremature audience, head to VH1 for Drumline at 11:05 when Nick Cannon makes being in a band appear much more glamorous than in real life.
    Afternoon:
    USA: No Strings Attached, 12
    FX: Identity Thief, 12:30
ABC Family: I’ll Be Home for Christmas, 1

TBS: The Wizard of Oz, 8
    ABC Family:Toy Story, 8
    Nickelodeon: Legally Blonde, 9
    Syfy: Blade Trinity, 9
What to Watch: If you’ve ever pretended that somewhere out there your secret identical twin is alive and thriving, watch The Parent Trap at 5 At 6 don’t miss the throwback to the late ‘80s with Look Who’s Talking. Bruce Willis does the voiceover for a talking baby and the cast includes John Travolta and Kirstie Alley, so you pretty much can’t go wrong there. If you aren’t satisfied with either of these suggestions, Toy Story, which plays at 8 is always a safe bet.
    Late Night:
    ABC Family:Toy Story 2, 10
    BBC: The Terminator, 10
TBS: The Wizard of Oz, 10:17
    HBO2: Gone Girl, 10:35

    TNT: Seabiscuit, 12
What to Watch: If the kids have already gone to bed, treat yourself with Gone Girl at 10:35 If they’re still awake, or if you’re just not that into Ben Affleck running around trying to figure out what happened to his psychotic wife, go with The Wizard of Oz at 10:17 At midnight, watch Seabiscuit, although be prepared for the urge to drop some change on horseriding lessons.
    Next: Monday, November 23 [pagebreak]
    MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23:

    HBO2: Bicentennial Man, 6:45
FX: Tears of the Sun, 7
What to Watch: Let us put this very simply: If Cool Runnings is on TV, you don’t watch anything other than Cool Runnings. You’ll be singing about the Jamaican bobsled team for the rest of the day, and your coworkers will love you. However, if you’re feeling something a little more serious, Rudy is just the type of inspiring football story that will have you amped up and ready to chase those workweek goals in no time.

If you’re in the mood for something a little more geared to adults, try The Tourist at 9:30 It’s got Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie, which is really all you need to know. What to Watch: At 3 13 Going on 30 comes on right as the kids get home from school. If you don’t have young offspring, or if Jennifer Garner teaching a roomful of people the “Thriller” dance isn’t for you, try Calendar Girls instead. In the 2003 film, some middle-aged women decide to raise money for a memorial by posing nude for a calendar.

If that’s a little too emotional for your taste, Jurassic Park is on at 9:30 – and really, what’s a movie marathon without Jurassic Park?
    Late Night:
HBO2: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, 10:35
IFC: Wet Hot American Summer, 11
    FXM: Something Borrowed, 11

    AMC: Remember the Titans, 12
    Sundance: Constantine, 12
    HBO2: Birdman, 1
What to Watch: If the kids are in bed, try Wet Hot American Summer at 11 If you love it, you can head straight to Netflix for the latest spinoff. If all of that teenage pent-up sexual frustration isn’t what you’re looking for, the only child-friendly movie in this time slot is Remember the Titans in case you missed it on Sunday.

Try When the Game Stands Tall at 8 for that boost of motivation that only an inspirational sports story can provide. If football isn’t your thing, watch The Princess and the Frog at 10 instead. Tiana’s journey to owning her own restaurant is a little froggy (apologies for that one), but it’s inspiring all the same.
    Afternoon:
HBO: The Devil Wears Prada, 12:05
Starz: The Pursuit of Happyness, 12:40
    AMC: Fantastic Four, 1
    MOMAX: Edge of Tomorrow, 1

    FXM: Water for Elephants, 3
    AMC: The Outsiders, 3:30
    FXX: Puss in Boots, 4
What to Watch: It’s so close to Thanksgiving that your boss may be stressing you out just a little more than usual. If that’s the case, catch The Devil Wears Prada at 12:05 to remind you that your situation is probably not really that bad — and to get a fabulous but wildly unrealistic image of the magazine industry. At 3 try Water for Elephants with Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattison; at the very least, Witherspoon’s ‘30s attire is worth the watch. At 4 FXX provides you with the option of Puss in Boots, because Antonio Banderas as a talking cat has been hilarious since Shrek first came out in 2001 and will continue to be forever and ever, amen.

If you’re looking for something for a more mature audience, though, try Pretty Woman at 9 or Date Night at 10

    FX: Man of Steel, 11

    CMT: Pretty Woman, 12
    FXM: Anger Management, 12
Hallmark: Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade, 12
    AMC: Jumanji, 1
What to Watch: There aren’t a lot of Thanksgiving-specific movies out there, so you should definitely try to catch Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade at midnight.
